My name is David Mold and I am the founder and managing director of Four Seasons Even Management.

I was told that the best way to share what is involved in running your own company and showing what services we offer is to start a blog and share our experiences with others.

My hope over the course of time is not only to give you an insight to the company but also into the people that have helped make it what it is today.

I guess the best place to start with any blog is at the beginning…

Prior to setting up the company I was a chef working in some of London’s finest hotels, restaurant and private clubs, however my real passion was traveling and it was during my cycle ride around the world (more of that later) I came up with the idea of setting up my own company and spending as many of my working days outdoors.

Initially the business started out as a cycle hire company in The New Forest however we soon got approached to run a treasure hunt by the Cartoon Network, never one to say no to an opportunity we said of course we can, the next bit was my first attempt at writing a treasure hunt, all very simple you would think but having never done one and having no idea how they worked I had to do some research, by luck I managed to get a copy of a local treasure hunt and was able to get some ideas on what was needed.

That first event was a very nervous day, this was something totally new to me and having put a lot of work into writing the treasure hunt I had no idea how it would go and be received, in the end I need not have worried as the client loved it. Since that day I have written hundreds of events and there is nothing more pleasing that watching people enjoying something you have created.

It goes without saying that I love my job and the best bit about it was that it found me rather than the other way round…
